Day 1: Nairobi – Tsavo East – Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary
Your safari adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or airport in Nairobi.
Drive along the scenic Nairobi–Mombasa highway towards Tsavo East National Park, one of Kenya’s largest and most famous national parks.
Upon entering the park, enjoy an exciting game drive searching for the park’s famous red elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, cheetahs, antelopes, and numerous bird species.
Visit popular wildlife viewing areas including Aruba Dam where many animals gather to drink water.
Continue to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary and arrive in time for lunch at the famous Salt Lick Safari Lodge.
In the afternoon, enjoy another thrilling game drive inside the sanctuary. The lodge’s unique design overlooking a waterhole offers excellent opportunities to watch wildlife directly from the lodge.
